Can I take cold remedies while bfing?

Can I take anything like sudafed, tunes, soothers etc. while bfing? I haven't slept properly in 2 nights because of a hideous cold!

I was told I could take sudafed while pregnant - I was back at work full time between babies and no sleep at all due to a cold.
So I scoff a sudafed before bed, and lie there all night wide awake like I was on something! Even more tired the next morning. M/w later told me that Sudafed contains a stimulant!!! And I told the stupid farmacist that I only wanted something to clear my sinuses so that I COULD SLEEP!!!!!!
Fishermans friends and olbas/eucalyptus oil on everything within 10 feet of where I was sleeping was about the only thing I could do but it did work.
