So my DS2 has had a really rough start, put in a week of antibiotics when born due to swallowing fluid and mucus. Got an infection so needed then.

2 weeks later caught the cold from DS1 and ended up stopping breathing and being blue lighted to hospital where they gave him antibiotics for an infection along with him having bronchitis!

He ended up with secondary lactose intolerance which we soon figured out and he was put Onto SMA LF. He’s been great on it for the last week but tonight he’s had a really sore tummy and his bum is red with the amount of poos he’s done.

Is kendamil LF worth it? Everyone keeps telling me to try it but I want to make sure it’s the right thing to do, or do we stick with the SMA LF and just push through it? (Reason is the docs have changed his milk several times trying to figure out if he was LF or just having colic and reflux)

I really want him to not suffer hence the if Kendamil LFis worth is I will chance it and change over, just need some more information on if it works or not as sometimes all you see is good review you wonder if it’s true or not!

I can't help on the lactose free side but I use kendamil organic and I chose it after comparing ingredients with the other brands. It doesn't have fish oil or palm oil and afaik it is the only infant milk made in Britain. I think it smells nicer than our previous brand and our baby is bigger than his big brother was at that age - which is most probably nothing to do with the milk - but it does tell me that he's doing great. I love kendamil and you can get it delivered as a monthly subscription which has been a lifesaver when there have been milk shortages in the shops.

If he's got a sore bum Metanium is good.if he's got a sore tum, could it be that he has CMPA as well as Lactose Intolerance?

I would say give it some time and speak to your doctor first.

Totally my fault and stupidity but I swapped my babies formula about with horrible consequences that took weeks to resolve.

If you're worried speak to your GP. I wish I had!
