The best positions for winding?

My baby keeps her wind down exceptionally well and no amount of back patting seems to get it out! I've tried the over the shoulder way and the sitting up on the lap way but neither of these really has any effect on bringing up her wind.

If she doesn't bring any wind up, she'll wake herself up with the hiccups or will get belly ache. She also farts LOADS, almost in comic proportions (and they stink too!!!).

Can anyone recommend any different positions that are good for getting up a good belch or is the fact that she's trumping for England good enough?

TIA!

I used to put DS across my knee on his tummy when he was having difficulty.

You can also try putting her over your shoulder and walking up/down the stairs. Congrats on your baby by the way! She's beeyoootiful.
