What’s wrong with my baby?

I’m waiting for the doctors to open Monday but really stressed over my baby’s excess gas. When feeding my baby will pass gas excessively to the point I think it annoys her. She gulps her food down always has but this has only started in the last few days. I recently switched to SMA but these symptoms did not occur immediately I’d say the last 48 hours or so. She has started screaming in pain and lifting her legs which she was never a crier and often only woke us for a night feeds by babbling rather than crying. She also has a grizzly sound when she breaths but that has been there since birth. She has had a reflux since been born however HV have said it’s not too bad as she is putting on weight. She was born at 8.3 and is 10.1 now ( four weeks old). She is sick when I burp her a lot of the time but not a lot. I was previously on aptimel but changed as HV suggested that could be causing the sickness. She only recently has started to Poo twice a day at most and it is foul smelling. Previously she would poo around 8 times a day. It’s now a lot like diharoeah. Has anyone experienced this?

Diarrhea and excessive gas could indicate a stomach bug, I'd ring 111 for advice personally instead of waiting until Monday. I hope she feels better soon Flowers

How are things now @GirlMama999?

Hello, after a few appointments they have finally diagnosed a cow milk protein allergy! I’m hoping this stops her issues we have been prescribed aptimel pepti, on day two so I will update how she gets on!

So glad you've got a diagnosis. Have they referred you to the Allergy Clinic and to a Paediatric Dietitian yet?
