Frozen breastmilk

Hey all
Leaving my baby tomorrow for the first time with my mum for the afternoon.
I have some breastmilk in the freezer that I'd like my mum to use.
What is the best way to defrost it? Get it out today and keep it in the fridge or warm it in hot water.

For all you know the baby might decide to go the whole afternoon without any milk. So let your mum defrost a bottle quickly in hot water whenever the baby needs a feed, otherwise you might end up wasting a lot of milk.

It defrosts really quickly in a jug of hot water, which would also warm it through, so I'd just have her defrost it as needed. Otherwise there might be a lot of wastage as you can't refresh once defrosted. How old is your baby?

Thanks both. I only took 2 bags out of the freezer & are in the fridge now. She's 7 weeks old x
