What do you feed your dairy free babies?

My son has to have a couple of dairy-free weeks for medical reasons. He is nearly one, and usually has a good range of cheese, yoghurt, butter, milk etc.

We have been advised to substitute cow's milk for a barista style oat milk. Can anyone with dairy free babies let me know what your preferred alternative is for things like yoghurt and butter?

DC is 3 and dairy intolerant.

We regularly buy:
Violife cheese
M&s plant based kitchen mozzarella
Coconut Collaborative yoghurt
Oatly yoghurt
Happi vegan chocolate (oat milk based)
Butter we use olive oils for cooking, mashed avocado/Meridian peanut butter for spreading on toast.

Increase other forms of protein and calcium - lots of beans/lentils, some meat, eggs and fortified cereals.

Increasing the protein suggestion from the PP is really good advice, it's the advice you should be told but rarely are.

Salmon is excellent so try salmon fish cakes or salmon nuggets.

We like Blueberry pancakes made with a milk alternative.

Spag bol.

Cottage pie (you can add Vitalite to the mash).

chicken korma

Egg & soldiers

Eggy bread

Cinnamon bagel toasted with Vitalite

Ready Brek made with oat milk with chopped banana

Chicken wrap

Beans on toast

Beef stew.

3 bean chilli.

This Ocean Pie, just swap the quark for a DF alternative, yes, you've guessed, I use Vitalite Grin

How've you both got on today so far @User5252727? Being DF can be a bit daunting at first can't it? Smile
