miraculous recovery from reflux

Ds has had reflux from 5 weeks. he is FF and BF due to a bad start. managed to get the reflux down to a livable level with infant gaviscon and lots of sitting up etc. He is now 11 weeks.

last week we came home from the UK to Queensland (where its REALLY warm!!!) and we seem to have had a recovery from the reflux. he can feed lying down (something we cold never do before) he can lie down straight after a feed and in general is much happier and seems to have no relfux.

My mother thinks its the water. I think perhaps the warmer weather is making him more relaxed. any one else had a fast recovery from reflux?

Send some water over then!

Could call it GaviscOZ?!!

Have heard of quite a few young babies reflux settling completely after Gaviscon for a while or at around 4 months when apparently the sphincter keeping things down matures.

My LO settled after Gaviscon from around 7-19 weeks but things returned unfortunately.

Keep my fingers crossed that its gone completely for your DS. (Sorry- but also secretly envious!!!)

he just seems to be a much more relaxed baby over here. his mother is more relaxed as well but then i have an extra 10 hands to help and no home responsibilities. maybee i should extend my maternity leave from 6 months to 12.......
