Weaning at one

My son is 11mo and breastfed. He's down to two feeds a day, once in the morning and once before bed. He eats really well - three good meals and snacks in the day.

I would quite like to carry on breastfeeding past one, as I like the idea of the immunological benefits given the pandemic etc. However, I don't necessarily want to have to feed him every single morning and evening as it's a bit of a tie. I'm now back at work and have to do the odd overnight trip etc, and pumping has never really worked for me.

Will I be ok to keep up these two feeds, but miss them out now and then on the odd days that I'm away? Will I get mastitis / will my supply drop?

Your supply will be very well established by one and you can always express a little if you've missed a feed and feel uncomfortable Smile

You can easily miss a days feeds here and there. May have to express a bit for comfort though
