Can you start breastfeeding after stopping?

My little girl is almost 7 weeks. When she born born I have severe PND so I gave up breastfeeding. Now I'm feeling a little better I'd really like to give it a go again.
Is that even possible? If I squeeze my breast some milk does come out, but how do I go about trying again?

Yes you can but it will require a lot of time and patience. The usual advice is to seek the support if a local BFC, do you have a local LLL that could help?

This article on relactating might be useful as well Smile

Yes but you need someone to support you. Contact the people suggested above. You can do it, your body is Miraculous!

If it's less than 6 weeks since you stopped you'll still have milk but definitely get in touch with breastfeeding network or similar for assistance.

Look up Lucy Ruddle and her book on relactation. She has good info on her social media too.
