Enfamil A R formula - help!

LouiseJayne23 · 17/10/2021 06:19

My daughter has been prescribed Enfamil A R formula as a trial to help with her reflux, and it's working a dream, she's a different baby... however nowhere seems to be able to get it from their stockists and apparently there is a supply issue. I'm gutted, as a tub lasts less than a week and we're about to run out. Boots have said it's not even an option to order via their systems and think it's been discontinued. Does anyone know where I can get hold of any? (Short of flying over to the US where it's one of their tops brands!) or have any leftover that I could buy? Love from a very desperate Mumma!

Could you ask for a different amino acid formula prescription like Nutramigem Purino?

How are you both getting on now @LouiseJayne23? Have you managed to get some or a prescription for an alternative amino acid formula?

Thank you for asking! It's not a specialist amino one for CMPA or anything, it's just a specifically thickened one. It's brilliant as thickens in the stomach rather than in the teat so it's not like they're drinking glue. The doctors aren't open today, so will phone up first thing and see if there is anything they can do. If not, will give Hipp anti-reflux a go I think. Am loathed to try something like Carobel as all I seem to read is it causing constipation!
