10 week old suddenly not finishing bottle

Hello!

We have a 10 week old that has already been diagnosed with possible silent reflux and is on Lansoprazole. He used to be able to eat almost a 5oz bottle but now has gone down to eating just 4oz at a time every 3-4 hrs. He will take the bottle fine to begin with then when he hits just under 4oz he will start to wriggle, thrash, throw his head back. We stop to burp him, then he won't take the bottle back. He continues to act hungry and whine after but won't take anymore milk. Has anyone else experienced this?

FYI he is on Cow and Gate comfort milk and Mam bottles with no2 teat.

Thanks 😊

Has anyone discussed the possibility of CMPA with you or said why he has reflux?

Hi @PanicBuyingSprouts
They diagnosed reflux as he had all of the symptoms. We have brought up the possibility of CMPA with a few GPs but because he doesn't have a rash, mucus poos etc they have ruled it out. It's a bit of a mystery!

You don't necessarily need a rash to get diagnosed, I didn't have one.

Have you had a read of the link? Did any of it sound that it could be a possibility?

It's reflux. He had learned to associate feeding with pain. Mine was the same and honestly the only thing that helped was early weaning under medical supervision.
