Help - my boobs are like cannon balls

I had my baby on Thursday (my second) and I just can't remember all the breast feeding tips from last time. At the moment he isn't latching on that well - although I asked the mdwife to look. I have ahd two nights of v painful feeding and my boobs seem about to explode - can you give me some advice. I remember having a few problems at the begining last time, but not as painful.

Could you express a little to ease the pressure a bit before you feed? If you are too hard that might be why he can't latch on.

hi i had this when my milk came in with both my lo as both times lo who was latching on well struggled with the first bit to get latched on so i went out and bought a hand pump and expressed for a little bit and then put them on. I only had to do this for about 4 days i think and then it calmed down but it defo helped.

Warm flannel helped me, little massage over the nipple to release some milk/pressure. He may latch beta then.
