Good Morning Ladies
We are going abroad with 4 month old next week, he has been EBF since birth.
Every evening as part of his bedtime he has an 8oz bottle of expressed milk and he settles brilliantly for a stretch between 6-9 hours, hallelujah!
However being away I won’t be in the accommodation enough to pump his usual 8oz for the bottle, and I worry as he’s been used to this for the last 3 mo this he won’t settle. The last think any of us need is to be up all night cluster feeding!
I am wondering whether to try mixing say around 4oz or ready mixed formula with the EBM before we go to make sure he is okay with it, then we can take a few of the small bottles to last us while away with a smaller amount pumped if that makes sense?
On the other hand DH thinks we should take a cool bag with ice for the hold luggage with my frozen milk to get us through the first couple of days while I build a supply of milk for the fridge there to see us through.
May well be overthinking it and he be fine, but I’d rather prepare for as many eventualities as possible! Advice or similar experiences welcome
