When should Gaviscon for reflux be given?

The packet (and the GP) says to give it after feeds, but I like to bf my 11 week-old to sleep. Giving Gaviscon wakes him up again - cue hours of crying. Can I give it before a feed for the same effect? Advice, please!

Ignore the packet - makes no sense at all! I always gave it before the feed. I mixed it into a little drop of expressed milk (he hated it mixed with water as the packet suggested - just made him sick!)then put him onto the boob as usual. Worked fine that way. good luck.
