Engorged breasts, formula feeding

Can anyone help?
I breastfed for 4 days whilst in hospital after csection but due to unsatisfactory supply to fill my baby I began formula feeding to ‘top up’ following advice from my MW.
Since coming home I have been continuing to give formula.
However now my milk seems to have ‘come in’ but I am happy with what routine we have.

How do i reduce the swelling and pain?
My boobs are solid, lumpy, tender and showing no signs of reducing.

I have been taking ibuprofen, paracetamol and applying cold compress to no avail.

Thanks in advance x

I stopped breastfeeding further down the line but I expressed a feed once a day (untill my breast was soft) then a couple of days expressed once a day until it was no longer feeling uncomfortable. Then I hand expressed only to ease discomfort.

I hàve literally stopped breast feeding a week ago and Some very helpful advice I was given was to not wear a bra if possible and let them leak through out the day. Also one of the best things I've tried was using cabbage leaves which was also recommended to me. Pop the cabbage in the fridge until it's cold and then put a cabbage leaf over the whole boob. Helps so much with the swelling and the heat. My boobs did leak tonnes when I done this but it made them so much more comfortable.

Cabbage leaves in your bra. Works amazingly!
