I’m due to have Baby 2 in a couple of months..I had a double electric pump for baby 1 but it was a plug in, no battery option. I would like something that allows me to be more mobile this time in case so I can still see to my toddler and I also just found it really restrictive last time having to sit by the plug for 20-25 mins.
I’ve been looking at the elvie pump or medela freestyle flex. Elvie looks to be totally hands free but is very expensive and I’ve heard suction not great. Medela is wireless but still need a pump bra to make hands free and still have to carry the battery consol around if you want to move but I’ve heard suction is very good.
I’m also looking at the haaka silicone breast pump as an additional option but I don’t really understand the concept. It works on suction and looks great and simple but the reviews say use on one side while feeding baby on the other...but what happens when baby wants to feed on the other side? Does it not mess with your supply a bit? I used to pump after baby had fed on both sides I guess you could still do this.
Would love any thoughts from anyone whose tried these pumps or would recommend any others?
