Tongue tie

Hi, my 2 week old has been impossible to settle through the night after breastfeeding. We found out today that he had a bad tongue tie, and was snipped there abs then. Since it's been done he's been non stop screaming, wanting to feed, not settling. I'm guessing this is down to being in pain since the snip?

I also have a huge amount of milk which I think is causing him to swallow a lot of air?

I'm just hoping someone is going to tell me it does get better after the tongue tie snip abs that he will start settling through the night feeds? Pleasssseee SmileSmile

Have you had a look? Is everything ok with where they cut? My son barely made a sound when his was cut at 6 weeks but as an exclusively bf’d baby he didn’t sleep or settle unless he was attached to my boob. It might not be about the tongue tie.

My baby had his tongue tie snipped a week ago. It was a minor one so he was feeding oI before. He's had a couple of unsettled days which I put down to either a leap or adjusting to feeding without the tie.

I don't think it should be painful.

Two weeks is a time for growth spurt so they'll usually want to be attached non-stop for a couple of days anyway, so what he's doing could just be this?

If you have a huge supply abs fast letdown, have you tried expressing a little at first? You could either store this milk or cup feed him at the end of the feed?

Have you tried the Tiger in the Tree hold to bring up the wind as well? There are lots of videos on how to do this on YouTube Thanks
