Advice re distracted baby breastfeeding

Hi, hoping for some advice please!

My 3 month old baby has recently stopped feeding during the day and instead wants more regular, long feeds during the night. Up until recently, she was sleeping really well and going for long stretches overnight without feeds. However now she seems so distracted when feeding during the day and will pull off after a minute (presumably when my milk lets down). She has always been distracted when feeding out of the house but we haven’t been anywhere really for the past week or two, she is just distracted by anything and everything at home!

Does anybody have any advice for how to reverse this? I’d really love some sleep again and I’m worried about my daytime supply.

Also she won’t take a bottle - so can’t try that either! Thanks so much.

So does she not drink in the day? Do you know what's distracting her eg looking out the window or tv. Is there somewhere you could go where she's less likely to be distracted?

If you're worried about your supply you could try pumping

That happens about that time. They start being more interested in the world and food comes second.

We were lucky that it was a lockdown because I could just go up to bed and close the blinds, I don’t know what it would be like out and about.

When he got a little older I started wearing a breastfeeding necklace which was garish as hell but kept him/his fingers occupied long enough for a decent feed. Maybe worth a go.

Try taking her into a dark room every 2-3 hours and feeding during the day.

I also found patting their bottom during a feed keeps them focussed

Thanks so much for the replies and for all the ideas - I’ll give those a go. Reassuring to know that it’s fairly common at her age!

Good idea to pump during the day to keep my supply up - thank you.
