Nutramigen formula- how to make up

DS has been prescribed this due to a dairy allergy. The instructions say to make up with cooled boiler water (room temp) which is fine but boiled water takes an age to cool! Do you think it would be ok to leave the water to cool for 30 mins, pour into the sterile bottles and fast cool the water in the fridge or under cold running water?

Can you make the bottles in a batch OP? It's not the first choice if making up bottles but is still ok if you store them at the back of the fridge where it's cooler abs follow all of the other safety guidelines.

So after the first bottle in the morning, make up the bottles for the next 12 hours abs do that again in the evening when you've had your tea.

I had this for ds

I just did it the normal way. Either hot water in the formula and ran under the tap until cool, or the old fashioned way of adding it to cooled boiled water in a sterilised bottle and heated up.

You can do nutramigen with room temp water as long as it's been boiled (doesn't have to be freshly boiled)

You could boil the kettle, pour into all your bottles for the day then just add the powder when you want to make one.

That’s what I did but you aren’t really supposed to do that as it doesn’t sterilise the formula

Nutramigen has a probiotic that is destroyed by the hot water. The instructions on the tin say to do it with room temp water rather than hot.

I’m sure you can make up a days worth or nutrimigen like you can with simulac and store in the back of the fridge
