Hi

Just a question if decide to drink over christmas more than a glass and pump and dump!
How long do i have to pump and dump a day after or just that day ..

when you are sober, the alcohol is also out of your system. rather little alchohol makes it into the milk to start with.

Someone told me that as a general rule, apply what you can drink and still drive. I'm not sure if its true though.

you can drink it will be fine. search archives, or even recent threads on this topic for specific scientific wotsits. my general rule is not to get too drunk to look after a baby / wake up when needed for feed.

I've had a few every now and again and fed dd with no pumping and dumping. Haven't seen any ill effects (dd 2.2 now) - think fishie's advice on this is good.

Only a tiny percentage of the alcohol gets into the milk, I would still feed on 2-3 glasses of wine but no more than that.
