Sorry: totally off-topic & TMI but... bruising?

I know this is an II, but I have seen my GP and she was underwhelming with her advice...

...Since having my 3rd CS with giant baby (imagine lots of old scar tissue, 2 large obstetricians with elbows on my stomach, a pair of forceps and thank god for the epidural...) I had serious bruising on my abdomen. Had this previously but it has never lasted this long before. My DS3 is now 14 weeks and though it has gone down, I still have a brown bruise that feels numb and is still sort of 'congested' to feel behind IYSWIM.

Gp just didn't know whether this was normal or not and said, wait a few weeks (at my 8 week check) and it will go away. It hasn't.

Do I need to worry? Is there anything I can do (I believe arnica only works if you use it straight away, is that right?)

Not that I'm ever getting the old muffin top out in public again but just wondering whether I can speed up the healing since it seems geologically slow...

TIA
