Did anyone's milk just dry up?

DS is almost 1 and I've been combi feeding since about 3 months as he wasn't gaining enough weight and wasn't settled despite having his TT divided and me working closely with an LC and trying EVERYTHING. I had blood tests to see if my low supply was due to anything obvious but everything was normal. Now DS is needing more and more formula even though he is well established on solids...so I think I'm drying up. I have mixed feelings about this- in a way the nightmare BF journey will finally be over and I can stop worrying about accidentally starving him. On the other hand, I so wanted to BF exclusively for as long as possible and that's been a big fail. I think I would get some closure if I just knew WHY I couldn't produce enough milk for him. My milk never even "came in" properly after his birth but nobody can tell me why. Not sure what I'm asking, I guess it would be nice to hear from anyone with a similar experience and how they got through it.

You've done amazingly to continue until nearly 1, & he won't need any formula soon anyway.

But yeah all of my friends who combo-fed everyday ultimately had their milk dry up altogether.

Could you be pregnant? That can cause changes to breastmilk too.

Haha definitely not pregnant! I did get my period back not too long ago though
