From day one I have wondered if my daughter has CMPA. No classic symptoms though and I have anxiety so my dr said it was more than likely in my head. However I have stayed off it (and soya) just in case which he said was fine (she is ebf).

She is now 10 months and my HV said she could develop an intolerance if I avoid dairy unnecessarily. Started the milk ladder slowly. Felt dr was right, it was all in my head.

Had a tooth out last week and we went away for the weekend. It was so sore and the only thing the local shop had that was manageable was yoghurt. Ate some, baby absolutely fine. Hurrah! So I've had quite a bit over 4 days. Started to feel like I could start to eat normally again!

Then last night she cried for 3 hours. She did a poo and the smell was horrendous (sorry). Green tinged. Very clearly a reaction. Poos have been the same today but she has been happy.

I feel absolutely awful. Ive totally failed her. Haven't had any dairy since Wednesday. Is she going to be in pain for weeks?

I feel absolutely crap.

I've no advice but just wanted to send some love to you. Sounds really tough. Xxx

Sounds like a classic reaction. If she has CMPA, which it sounds like she may well have, she should start to feel egret after a couple of days although it can take up to 2 weeks for her to fully recover.

Allergy UK's Helpline is open this morning if you want to talk this all through with them Thanks
