Hello!
My 6 week old is a pretty noisy eater. I have a good latch, she is gaining weight and she is satisfied but I keep getting conflicting thoughts from the HV insisting she is tongue tied. I have had her checked and she is not, lactation team just said her mouth is wet so she is noisy, it f so yes happen. Apparently I was as a baby too according my mum!
Anyone else’s baby noisy? HV is making me anxious

My girl was a noisy feeder, though it seems to have stopped now. My lactation consultant said that as long as it wasn’t painful and she was gaining weight then it wasn’t a problem.

Had a HV drop in yesterday, DD is gaining weight but dropped a percentile
She mentioned she thinks she has a bit of tounge tie again and asked me how much I’m feeding her
I explained I’m on the sofa 24/7 she feeds a lot and she replies “have you tried breastfeeding more” I swear I could of lost it it felt like a slap in the face
Dd was 10lbs when born and is a very tall baby she is healthy and I’ve tried my absolute best to stick to solely breastfeeding in which I feel I have been half awake since her being born and I get asked if I can try do it more, I know she means well but just needed that vent, felt very low
Little one drains me well and is content ,just clicks, if it is tounge tie we will get it sorted I’m just starting to feel pissed of with the yes no and maybes of how she feeds because it’s prolonging if she needs a procedure or not and Is stressing me out if she is feeding effectively or not
Feel crap

I've got a noisy one too. He also clicks a bit, no tongue tie. He's 5 months.

DS had a tongue tie snip at 6 weeks and was finally able to bf after that - I had to pump before he had the procedure as he just couldn't latch properly. He was really noisy for a while but then improved his technique / got stronger and is fairly quiet now. Your baby may grow out of it in a few weeks.

All the best - being trapped on the sofa all day every day is really tough, especially if you're worried about weight gain. DD was similar, she was constantly on the boob.
