Question for low supply mums or anyone that can answer this

Evening ladies,

I have a 10mo and we had every BF issue you could think of- in the end I was just told I wasn't producing enough milk and we ended up combi feeding for the majority of the last 10 months. We're at a point now where my DD is reducing her milk intake and having more solids. I have a few questions and would really appreciate any responses :)

  1. If she reduces her milk intake/drops a feed or 2, is it possible I might EVENTUALLY be able to ditch the bottles altogether and my breast milk might be enough? Or will I just dry out as her demand decreases. (Of course I will give her top up formula if she needs it!)
  1. I'd love to know how long other mums with low milk supply managed ot BF. I didn't think I'd get this far and now that I have, I really want to keep going for as long as possible. Now that she doesn't feed as frequently, I am even happy to get back to pumping if it means I can prolong out BF journey.

TIA

If she was fully FF she would only need 400 ml a day right now so I don't think it's unreasonable to want to reduce your too ups or to continue with BFing.

I would advise anyone wanting to reduce top ups to do it with the support of a BFC though. Is there one in your area that you're in contact with?
