when am i fertile?

this might sound pretty stupid, but when am i fertile for the first time after birth? if i have a period, was i fertile 2 weeks before, or is it only after the first period? i'm hoping nature gives me a warning!

i read that you were only fertile after the first period and not before. after this bf is not a garantee, it helps but its not 100%

You can throw off an egg any time, I'm afraid kellymom says it's rare but it can happen that you ovulate without a period.
