Infacol or Gripe Water?

DS has been on Infacol for a couple of weeks due to occasional vomiting after feeds. That's pretty much resolved, but he still seems to have lots of trouble with wind. He can be very difficult to burp, and I can feel the wind in his tummy. He can sometimes be very squirmy and upset, so I think he may be getting tummy ache due to trapped wind. He can also fart like a cart horse!!

I'm wondering whether to give Gripe Water a try. Does anyone rate it over Infacol? Can they be taken together? DS is 6weeks.

Yes! My 8 week old son has had occasional vomiting after feeds and then just general wind he couldn't seem to bring up. I tried Infacol to begin but didn't really feel like it helped him much. I then changed to Gripe Water (given after a feed) and the wind he was producing came up ever so easily. I haven't gone back to using Infacol since. I'm not sure if you can use both together though x

Neither worked for my son. Only thing that touched the sides was colief & most importantly time. Not sure what age Colief is for as I can’t remember but I do remember well the painful wind and reflux symptoms. Time really was the eventual healer. Congrats on your little one xx

Grow water aways.
With dd2 I used to soak fennel seeds in boiling water, once cool a few drops worked like magic!
