Ca I use the same nipple shield for both breasts or newly sterilised one for each side?

When BF'ing, can I just switch the same nipple guard from one breast to the other or do I have to use a different one for each side? Obv these have been sterilised before use.

i just used the same one. I would only steralise a new one if I thought i had thrush or something like that.

Just switch it.

I just use the same one as breast milk. I personally think it is fine because breast milk is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-viral. Plus, once you have touched the shield it isn't sterile anyway. You can only do so much to prevent your LO from getting a bug. If you are really bothered about it, then use a different shield.

I never bothered sterilising them at all, just washed them in hot soapy water and let dry naturally. I use a different one for each nipple though as I found it wouldn't "stick" if there was already BM on it.

Yes, just switch it then wash in hot soapy water
