Stopping breastfeeding after 3 weeks

Can anyone tell me how to Go about this please? My LO is 3 weeks and I have made the decision to transition to formula instead of breast milk. She doesn't seem to be extracting the milk efficiently from my breast despite her latch being good and no tongue tie. I have tried exclusively pumping but it is extremely time consuming with 2 kids. I'm going to go and buy some formula today but how do I got about drying up my milk without any pain/infections?

Maybe take it down slowly over a week or two, introduce a couple of bottles per day and work up from there. The milk will dry up as it’s not been used.

Cut one feed out at a time and replace with a bottle (the formula tin will have a suggestion for quantity depending on age.) Then wait 3-5 days before replacing another breastfeed with a bottle. This is the standard advice midwives give in France where lots of women breastfeed for just a few weeks before going back to work at 11 weeks pp. No personal experience with this though.

Yep drop down a feed at a time and give 3-6 days in between dropping feeds
