Mastitis, but no longer bf

DD is 11 days old, and due to pain and low supply we've moved to FF.

I've now developed mastitis and have antibiotics from the GP. I've read that to help with the pain you should feed and hand express, but given that I'm no longer bf, I don't want to be stimulating the ducts anymore.

Is there anything I can/should be doing to deal with the hard lumps in my breast? Or should I stay cold turkey and hope the antibiotics clears everything up?

I'd express, it really should help to clear it and get you to recover more quickly and expressing won't be nearly as stimulating as feeding a baby 12 times a day.

Thanks @BunnyRuddington

Do you mean pump or hand express? The idea of either is toe curling at the moment!

Either will be fine, I'd take some paracetamol first though maybe Thanks

I had similar thing happen to me, my midwife told me to just completely stop feeding/pumping I worried they were going to get worse but It only took a few days for them to go down! Just keep you eye on them.
