Wrestling a 10lb Salmon! (AKA winding a 5 week old)

I've never been fishing, or wrestled a salmon but...I can't only imagine it feels very similar to trying to wind my 5 week old DD. Grin

Fortunately (Hmm?!?) she's strong but this means I've been head butted, clawed and punched (all accidentally ofcouse!). Ive tried over the shoulder and upright on my knee gently holding her chest and chin but it's such a challenge when she's so reluctant to sit even vaguely still.

My question is - does anyone have any good tips and tricks for winding wriggly babies that doesn't require biceps to rival Popeye?

Sit them down on a surface fully supporting them with your hands and rub their back - used to work wonders for DS who is a lump

Similar to above - lie baby face down on your knees, holding her head, then rub or pat her back.

I used to do the tiger in the tree hold with my DD - worked every time!

Tiger in tree is good but not for refluxy babies - learned that with ds2.
Put the baby up high on your shoulder and walk up a flight of stairs.
