When did you introduce dinner?

Baby is 8 months and still just on breakfast and lunch. Is this okay? If I give her anything for dinner she struggles with her bedtime milk so I assumed the milk is more important to have

What age did you start giving baby dinner?

The NHS guidelines are to introduce the third meal between 8 and 9 months, so anytime about now should be fine Smile

Could you give dinner around 5pm then bedtime milk feed at 7pm?

About 6 months, just offer it at first, mine are whatever I was eating by 8 months

I always think this is tricky because you either have to bring your dinner forward or give the baby a separate dinner (even if it's leftovers from the adults meal the night before).

I'd offer something light. Like a slice of Danish toast and some avocado, or something at 5pm. The milk starts to fade out a bit now, but this is the age where you seem to be feeding them every 90 minutes, either milk or meals! It won't last long though!

I started offering dinner at around 8 months when my DD dropped her 3rd nap. I started doing it early though at like 4pm as she wouldn’t drink her bedtime milk then started moving it closer to 5pm as she got older.
