Storing breast milk in bottles

Can you store your expressed breast milk in a bottle in the fridge, then when baby needs a feed you can just grab this bottle heat and go?
I usually store expressed milk in a storage bag and then transfer to a bottle when required. I always go through my expressed milk on the same day as I don't produce enough to store for several days at a time, so if I was to store in a bottle it would be used within 12-18 hours.
Thanks for your help

I did. In bottles with a lid. Put the teat on later. You can store in fridge for a couple of days.

Great thanks! Just out of interest why did you put the teat on later?

I think that was the advice I got. I’m not sure tbh! I expressed straight into the bottle that came with the pump and it had a plastic lid anyway.

Yes, it's fine. Although I just add the teat at the time. I exclusively pumped for almost 3 months with ds1 and was never told otherwise. I pump occasionally with ds2 before I go to bed and it's used overnight by dh.

I have always been doing it, with the teat too! Its handy to have it ready especially for night feeds and the first thing in the morning feed!
