Breast Milk Jaundice - has anyone else experienced this??

Hi, our baby got breast milk jaundice a few days after birth, and is now 4 weeks old. We have just found out that this is what it is and that it is quite common as we were beginning to get worried about it. Though we've been told it could take another 1-2 months to clear. Has anyone else's baby experienced this and did it clear up ok?

Yes, my DS2 had it and yes, it cleared up fine! According to his red book, it started fading at around 5 weeks. I can't remember how long it took to go completely though.

We went through a whole round of tests at the hospital which told us nothing we didn't know already - that he was fine and it was "just" BF jaundice.

Thx for all your comments - feel alot better now because we also had all the blood tests and weren't told until yesterday that it was nothing at all to worry about, that it was just bf jaundice. So thanks again.
