Hello,

My LO is almost 10 months old and on 3 meals a day, but has recently dropped down to 3 breastfeeds a day - is that too little for that age?

This is what the day now looks like:

0800 - breastfeed 1
0830 - breakfast (2 weetabix and fruit)
1230 - lunch (jar meal, fruit and yoghurt pudding)
1300 - breastfeed 2
1700 - dinner (whatever we're eating, followed by fruit and yoghurt)
1830 - breastfeed 3

That sounds pretty good to me! I think on average, at this age, it would be between about 3 and 5 a day. But all babies will differ. It sounds like it has happened very naturally after weaning and that your baby is probably asking for exactly what is perfect for them!

@Somethingsnappy thank you! That's a relief I was slightly worried it was too little. I'll also check with the HV too.

Gosh you’re lucky... my 9 month old snacks on my boob about a hundred times a day. Pops on for a few sucks then gets bored then screams if I put it away. I’m jealous.

I too think you should count yourself lucky, pretty sure mine were on 12+ still at that age

Oh wow! They are so different. I just couldn't get mine to have it, she'd just look up at me and giggle or worse... play with my nipple 😬
