Calcium supplements?

I know vitamin supplements aren't usually nbecesasry for bfing women, but I've noticed my nails have been getting v brittle and flaky recently (still feeding DS a lot at night - he's 13 mo). Should I be taking a supplement? I do have a fair amount of dairy in my diet (prob 1/2 pt milk and a yoghurt a day, plus some cheese). I also find my milk supply drops when my period is due - can calcium help here?

If I should be taking somehting, what? Are there any supplements designed specifically for bfing mums?

I'm generally tired and run down anyway which prob doesn't help...

I took Calcium and vit D as a supplement when BF, in fact I have an unopened big bottle from Boots if you'd like it for postage. email me your address and I'll get onto it. [email protected]
