Have always had issues with breast feeding, DS had a tongue tie, cracked nipples worried about supply worried about not gaining weight etc etc etc could go on. But I have to say it did all settle down and I have enjoyed the last couple of months of it. But as we are nearing 6 months I really would like to cut down and slowly stop. Am more than happy for my LO to have formula he has had several bottles in the past especially as recently whenever I try to express I get nothing. So i dont mind that.

My question is do I just feed him from the breast at the feeds I want to continue with like morning and bedtime and give him bottles the rest of the time, will that cause massive engorgement?

If I decide to stop altogether do I go cold turkey?

TIA

not sure but i think you are meant to do one replacement feed at a time to allow your boobs to adjust. dont go cold turkey - you could be heading for real engorgement / mastitis.

thanks wee onion am doing just that, typically he has started feeding really well again today. But will keep doing one boob one bottle and take it slowly.
