Green poo worry

Hi,
God I seem to be posting on this all the time -paranoid first time mum!
Baby is 4 weeks old. Formula fed until a few weeks when I started comfort breastfeeding him as well. So, formula fed with a little breast but hardly producing more than one ounce of milk.
Until now his poo has been the grainy bright yellow mustard colour it should be, peanut butter consistency. But today a nappy was different - some of it was a green colour, sort of like two poos in one nappy, one yellow like normal and one green. Should I be worried? Should he be having green poos?

I'm no expert (also a FTM) and my baby is breastfed so can't really advise, except to say that I spent a lot of time stressing over poo colour and consistency in the first few weeks and now realise it was probably wasted energy. The medical professionals don't really care unless it's black, white or red. My baby went through a couple of phases of green poo but they always resolved themselves eventually. If your baby is well in himself I wouldn't worry too much.

I remember when my babies poo went half green half yellow... it freaked me out too but all normal. Smile

We've had all sorts including blood in nappy, doctor has told me to cut out dairy (breastfeeding) but as long as they're putting on weight and happy I don't think it's anything to worry about! My DC also had a rash and was very whiny and sick all the time which is much improved since removing dairy from my diet so worth discussing with health visitor or doctor if you are worried.

Sounds normal OP.
I think there's even a page on it on the NHS website (which is v useful by the way).

Oh gosh, I've had sleepless nights over poo colour, incessantly googling the topic! My LO is 7 weeks old, ebf and gives me yellowish green poos, sometimes though it's more green, others more yellow. I do find though, that when I give him the same breast for a few feeds in a row, his poo is more yellow, I think it's related to him getting more hind milk? Either way, I now just keep an eye on it, but don't obssess over it anymore

Hi
My baby is 6 weeks and consistently been doing green poos but otherwise okay, can be mucousy and frothy. Very worried.
I am bfing.
Could be an imbalance or cows milk protein allergy so have cut our dairy.
Have a heavy flow so doing block feeding but not seen any difference.
Any help or advice would be appreciated
Going mad googling....and praying before I open each nappy!! 😔
