Anyone breastfed just in the mornings for 6 month old?

DD is now 6 month old and I'm ready for BF journey to end as it's been a very much hate love relationship. Only thing is I've come to enjoy breastfeeding in the morning when she wakes up and we have cuddles after. Anyone else only breastfed in the morning post 6 months?

Obviously giving formula for the rest of the feeds

Although I haven't had this experience, I thought I'd comment anyway! There is no reason at all why you shouldn't do this. It's a good idea! You both still get the lovely closeness and baby still gets some breastmilk, while still getting their nutritional needs met by formula and the beginning of solids the rest of the time. I certainly ended up just doing mornings and last thing at night when my babies started weaning off the breast (later on though).

Hi!

I’ve been doing something similar. Between 5 and 6 months I’ve just been doing boobs for my twins once per day.
It’s our special time together and I love it but can’t keep up otherwise.

X

@Somethingsnappy @FlashesOfRage thank you both for responding! And Greta that you've both managed to do this. I've dropped to just two feeds a day now and will see how supply goes for the next couple of days until I drop one and just keep the morning feed Smile
