6 month old feeding issue

Hello everyone. I have a 6 month old boy. He has always been good with feeding. He was taking around 7 ounces until recently I started sleep training him.
He had sleep association with milk and rocking. I have successfully done that but his milk intake is not the same anymore. He takes 4 to 5 ounces milk per feeding after 4-5 hours. Also started solids but im worried why his milk intake has decreased. Is he getting enough nutrition or not. Please share your experience. Thanks.

How much milk does he have in total per day?
Minimum recommended is 20oz from 6 months

He took 22 oz today. On top of that Hhe wakes up twice in the night and also takes around 7-9 ounces extra. I dont know if that counts.

Yes it counts. The amount he takes in 24 hours is what I meant by per day. Sounds like he still has plenty of milk then

Thanks for answering. I was literally going mad because if this.

Your baby sounds fine :) remember to offer the milk before any solids and you can't go wrong

Freshair85 · 06/04/2021 19:42

My baby did the same when starting solids and is the same still at 8 months. It's fine though only thing to remember is if they go below a certain amount of milk they need a multivitamin

Great advice. Thanks Smile

Which multivitamin you recommend?

When they are taking under 500mls per 24 hours then you should supplement vitamins A, C and D. You should be able to find baby vitamins in the shops

Thanks I will keep that in mind Smile
