Getting 15 wk old to take a bottle

Bf going really well with my ds2 of 15 wks but there are times when I'd rather he had a bottle (evening out maybe?). Am USELESS at expressing, just does not work for me. Have tried formula in an Avent bottle but he just pushes the teat around and then gags once the milk comes out, then cries and I feel so bad for trying him with it!!

Any tips or recommendations for other bottles? DS1 took bottle at 8 weeks with no probs although I bfd him till 10 months with bottles introduced for daytime feeds.

Have been promised a wkend away with dh in New Year, no babies, IN PARIS!! but can't leave ds2 if he only bfs....would appreciate help.

Is there any way you can express just a little for the first few times?

We have had success with the Tommy Tippee Closer To Nature ones, but that was EBM and dd is such a gannet she'd probably take any old bottle...

(and do borrow some different pumps off your friends if you can - I found the Avent one everyone raved about utter rubbish and thought I'd never be able to express, but did well with the TT one)

My ds is 22 weeks old and has been fully bf. However I always wanted him to take the odd bottle of ebm. He did until he was about 8 weeks old and then refused! He wont take a bottle but we recently got a 'sippy cup' which says from 4 months. He takes milk fine from this although insists on doing it himself so alot goes down his front! Might be worth thinking about if you don't get any success with the bottles.
