Help! Screaming during bottle feeding?

Hi

My little girl is 11 weeks old and is formula fed Aptamil. She was fine on it until a week ago when she had her first set of vaccinations, since then it has been a nightmare every feedtime

We use the Tommee Tippee bottles with No2 teats, she starts to take the bottle, stops after two ounces or so and goes completely hysterical? She will take more but its a battle? I've spoken to the HV and she said it sounds like wind, but have always given her infacol as she is a windy baby. I can't get my head around why since she had the jabs she has had these problems?

She is perfectly happy in herself during the day when its not feed time, she sleeps through from 8 til 7.30 so no complaints there, but I can't bear to see her in obvious pain and I can't do anything about it?

I was thinking of changing her formula to Cow and Gate Comfort but not sure if this is the answer? Can the first lot of jabs make a baby allergic to formula or give then a reaction?

If it doesn't improve tomorrow we will have to go to the doctor but I don't want to look like a fussy mum.

Any suggestions on what it could be?

Thanks

Willow

I don't think it is anything to do with her jabs tbh.
Ds1 had real issues with Aptamil. I MADE the HV tell me which milk she used and she told me C&G and I switched to that and he was much better.
He had terrible colic though.
How long does she cry for?
Ds1 cried from 6 til 10 EVERY day.

Hi Lady

6 til 10 every day, poor you! No she only cries during feeding time, she is upstairs now in the bath laughing with her daddy, so I don't think its colic?

She only cries when the milk hits her tummy? She is a delight at all other times.

reflux? do you sit her up when feeding? just a thought as my DS had the screeming attacks recently when feeding and this was definately reflux. I don't think this is the problem with every screamer but possibly worth looking at.

Exactly the same thing has happened to my daughter, is the flow hole too fast for her? One I was using was and she was taking in air and getting hysterical. Also which tommee tippee bottles are you using? The ones that are shaped like "boobs" were absolutely awful for making her colicy she just couldnt get good suction on them cos the teats were so small and as soon as I stopped using them her wind and tummy pain went away. However if thats what you have always used I cant see why it would be a problem now?? Hope it sorts itself out soon
