Is it worth offering a higher amount of milk on alternate bottles?

DS has been on 8oz for a few weeks now but has started wanting up to 12oz for his last bottle before bed around 8/9pm.
I offered 9oz yesterday and some bottles he still only wanted 8oz so i m wondering if I should give him 9oz every second bottle to make sure he's not getting very hungry like he appears to before his last bottle.

He's 18 weeks and i m not keen on early weaning as i know a few people with intolerances so would rather avoid it. He's 20lb/9kg ish so i don't think he's having too much milk and no signs of reflux.

Can't hurt to offer the extra. He can leave what he doesn't want

@dementedpixie I ll offer him 9oz this afternoon, perhaps he just gets more hungry later in the day like I do.
