Comfort Milk - 1oz in 30mins

I have switched my 4 week old baby to cow and gate comfort formula at the HV suggestion. We have had a few bottles so far but it is obviously thicker and it's now taking ages for him to have a bottle! He just had 1oz in half an hour, he keeps falling to sleep - it's obviously hard work for him! We are on anti-colic TT bottles too.
Anybody else experienced this? Does baby get used to it? I am now worried that he isn't going to be getting enough down him!

Have you increased the test size. I had to move Dd onto 2 in order for her to be able to drink it

Switch to a number 3 or variflow teat, that should hopefully solve the problem :)

Yeah it did work. I didn't get to 3 as she was only 4.weeks and managed fine on 2. Wouldn't have managed it on newborn teat though. Good luck.

I had the same issue. Once I bought the next size up teat my LO was able to drink it normally :)

Variflow teats were the ones we had to use when DD was on the cow and gate anti reflux milk OP. As you say, it was thicker and she wasn’t getting much. With the variflow ones she got as much as she wanted/needed. There are the ones with an X on if I remember rightly and they were a god send!
