BF and losing weight

Hi All,
My daughter is now 6 months old and all I ever read in magazines etc. is how women have lost soooooo much weight just from breastfeeding. They didn't have to eat any less or exercise. I've been breastfeeding for 6 months and haven't lost any weight. I'm still approx. 2.5 stone overweight and am finding it hard to shift. Is it just me that can't lose weight from BF? My DD is my 3rd baby if this helps. Thanks.

I only lost weight after bfing for more then a year. I would have lost weight sooner but I ate to many cakes and chocolate.

The main women I see losing weight are the ones who work and breastfeed.

I'm one of those Belgo though have only been back at work for 3 weeks, its made no difference to me I don't eat particularly badly either so don't know why its not coming off.

Hiya - DS is 8 weeks old and from 2 weeks old have lost approx 1 lb a week. Bfeeding has defo helped me lose the weight, but I am really watching what I am eating. Snack on loads of fruit and am trying to make sure each of my meals is really healthy. I allow myself a treat a week. Losing the weight is hard work - anyone who says it drops off without watching what they eat is very very lucky IMO.
