Baby being sick all the time

Hi all!

Our little one is now 2 months old and she just won't keep any milk down.

Tried anti colic bottles with the vents
Slow flow teets
Burping during a bottle and after or Burping only after
Tried switching to anti reflux milk after being recommended by the health visitor
Tried raising her bed.
Tried feeding at different angles

Nothing seems to work,

She can throw up sometimes right after or sometimes 4 times in the following hour or sometimes speradic right up to her next feed.

The strange thing is that she doesn't seem upset by it and she isn't violently sick, she's almost like a fountain.... Milk will just pour out of her mouth, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, but mainly when she's lying down... Even in her sleep and its so gentle that she is sick that it doesn't even wake her... Its silent... Which is scary as hell.

Health visitors etc have all said its reflux.. But the reflux milk had an effect for a couple of weeks where she threw up less.. But 5 weeks later and she's throwing up the same amount.

Any ideas?

It does sound like reflux, you can get gaviscon and other things from the doctor but if she doesn't seem upset with it you can just wait for it to pass.

How much is she feeding at a time? Have you tried very little and often. Exhausting but maybe worth a try

She is mainly 4oz every 2hrs. But sometimes she will do 2oz every 2 hours as she's just not hungry. We've tried the little and often too, but she seems to throw up ever if she has 1oz. Overall though she's like the happiest baby ever... Which is odd as she's being sick so much. But she's not bothered by throwing up. Sometimes she smiles and makes an almost giggle noise after lol

Some babies are just more sicky than others. If she isn’t distressed by it, is gaining weight then I wouldn’t worry!

My DD has reflux and was a champion puker - it would fly across the room, it was impressive. She’s 10 months old now and is still sick quite often! I just came to terms with always smelling like milk 🤷🏼‍♀️

However, I did find that if she had wind she’d be sick a lot more. If she’s being sick, try winding her to see if that stops it?

Have you tried burping before you give the feed? Sometimes a burp can be 'underneath' the milk so when the burp comes, it lifts everything out.

And burping after every ounce? It can be frustrating for baby and laborious but should help.

Try not to worry about it if she's happy :) my little girl is exactly the same and she's 10 weeks now. She's been sicky since day one and the doctors and HV have said it's just reflux which she will grow out of as her digestive system improves.
It was awful at first as she's my first baby and I didn't know what was happening, whether she was getting enough food, if it was upsetting her or if I was doing something wrong.
She has 7oz feeds and I've tried to do little and often but she just won't have it. She likes to be fuller for longer 😂 so I've just about come to terms with 3 outfit changes and a wash load of muslins every day
