How much milk for an 8 month old

My 8 month old has always been breastfed but I've noticed the last couple of days he doesn't want it as frequently which suits me as I had been thinking of stopping but he won't take a bottle of formula so I'm worried he isn't getting enough milk. He does have water in a bottle but I'm not sure he's taking in lots and I am concerned about him getting dehydrated. What should he be having please? Thanks

I wouldn't worry. BF babies can regulate what they take very efficiently. He's also likely to take more at a feed if he's having less feeds. It's not like FFing where you have to count every ounce Smile

How are things today @MamaT1992? If you are worried about dehydration, have you thought of offering some water rich foods? Smile

Thanks so much @BunnyRuddington and sorry, I only just noticed your message from yesterday. I think it must have just been a brief phase as he's back to wanting bf all the time 🤣. Out of interest though, what are water rich foods please? Thanks so much for responding x

Things like broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries, jelly, melon and soup Smile

And you can always make some homemade lollies, they usually like those Smile
