I think they are all pretty similar really from brand to brand unless you go for a special formula for example aimed at reflux which are usually a thicker consistency.

What do you mean by agree with him? Is he bringing it back or what is the issue?

LincolnshireLassInLondon · 27/02/2021 21:20

Yes you can try a few.

My DS had problems feeding when he was born. We saw the infant feeding team at the hospital and they helped me try a range of different milks with him. Formula is very heavily regulated in the UK (and elsewhere) so nutritionally they are all similar, but they taste very different.

DS liked Aptamil immediately and we've stuck with that.

What's happening exactly @Libbyloo21? We might be able to help if we know what's going on Thanks

My little boys 6weeks on cow and gate milk unsettled most the day likes been held etc.... But night time screams for ages and not even holding him calms him down....we tried hipp organic no difference. He's now on gaviscon too but I don't feel its helping..he wasn't overly sicky!! ... Should I try another milk brand?? He is given infacol too and nothing changes..... If he had a milk allergy surely he would scream and have more side effects than just crying?
My HV isn't any help really and I'm now at my whits end iv booked a chiropractor for this week..... Hes also tongue tied which GPS and HV aren't concerned about as he's putting weight on.....he is a clingy boy but the crying doesn't stop being held etc

Is he screaming at the same time every evening?

Both mine had terrible witching hours. They'd scream from 7-9pm every night. Bouncing kinda helped my eldest, breastfeeding kinda helped my second.

What helped most was never eating before it started and knowing it would stop at 9pm

They both grew out of it about 12-14 weeks old

Libbyloo21 · 27/02/2021 21:32

It's varies between 6-8pm but can last up until 11pm

My money is on the tongue tie. Have a read of these symptoms and see if they sound like what's happening.

Read up on the witching hour.

Once you know that it's just one of those things and that it does pass

Libbyloo21 · 27/02/2021 21:51

Yeh. I think my gut feeling is saying this ....my GP and HV aren't going to do anything about his tongue tie as he's putting weight on and not breastfeeding. I think mayb go private
