12 week old feeding behaviour

12 week old ds is breastfed and in the past day or 2 has occasionally pulled at my nipple whilst latched on and also hit my boob with his fist (which was actually adorably funny).
I've always had a really fast let down and I'm wondering if it's slower due to supply settling and he's annoyed about it?
Anyone else had this?

Hi,

Yes I've had this, my DD 6 months has done this since she was about 2/3 months old as well. She very aggressively hits my boob and will yank the nipple and growl at me until the let down starts. I think she became used to a very fast let down and now it's settled and takes more work she's v angry, also had only ever fed for 2-5 mins at a time and not even both sides each time! (Despite this she's always gained 5-8 oz a week!)

Sounds very similar. Impatient baby then!

My 8 week old baby is starting to do this! It reminds me of little lambs, butting and pulling at their mother Grin. I have a fast let down too, so it's just impatience I think... They hate waiting the mere seconds it takes to start. My let down is still as fast as it's ever been at the moment, so I think it's more of a developmental thing in the baby, as they become more aware of themselves and how to get the milk flowing. My baby takes the nipple and then twists his head from side to side (ow) and pummels with his fist.
