Hey guys,

What did you do to stop baby from vomiting after a feed. What worked for you? Infacol? Keeping baby upright for 20 minutes after a feed? Anything else?

Winding first and part way through.

Not over feeding (I breastfed and if I offered too soon I.e going out then we’d have sick everywhere. My SIL bottle fed and force fed her second to go 4 hours between feeds so that resulted in vomit too)

My second did this, vomited after every feed. Turns out it was reflux. His weight gain began to stall so he was put on omeprazole by the gp. It was a game changer for us.

Mine still vomits after every feed (and sometimes between) at 12 weeks. In his case it’s caused by reflux. He’s on omeprazole which stops the discomfort. Beyond that we just keep him upright for as long as possible after a feed, and do lots and lots and lots and lots of laundry.

If it is reflux then medication can help if they’re in pain, but nothing really stops the vomit. They just grow out of it eventually!

Babies vomit. It's a result of an immature digestive system and should settle around 3 to 4 months down the line. Smile
